Customer Reviews

Great Pea Coat

The fabric on this coat is quite heavy, but seems to be very high quality. The horn buttons are a nice touch and feel well-crafted. The fit is pretty similar to what's pictured on the model. I'm 5'-11" and somewhere between 155 and 160lbs. I ordered a Medium and I think it's sized appropriately. I may get it taken in just a tad, but I'll let the wool loosen up (as it arrived relatively stiff) before I make any decisions.

So Pretty

Hell, it even smells good.

Great silhouette...

Great silhouette and detailing, it fit great, only thing I would have loved is if it had thinsulate as a liner! and/or 100% wool. Almost, 400 for a wool blend? No thanks.

Excellent Fit

I've ordered quite a few pieces from Bonobos and have yet to review. However, upon receiving this jacket, I was so satisfied I simply had no other choice. I've had an excellent Pea coat from J-Crew for years which developed a few holes in the sleeve lining and decided it was time for a new jacket. Gave Bonobos a chance, due in major part to the other excellent fitting clothes I've bought previously, and I am 110% satisfied. The fit of this jacket is excellent and it looks sharp. While I understand there may be some hesitancy in purchasing an expensive coat that is a wool blend, when purchasing this coat with the extra 50% off, it was a steal. And as far as I'm concerned, it is way warmer then my previous jacket. Hats off to bonobos. Great jacket for a great price, leaving for one extremely happy customer.

The Perfect Coat

I wanted this coat in the worst way but didn't have the cash. It's pure style. When I got my Christmas bonus, it was the first thing I ordered. I almost had a meltdown when the large didn't fit and they were out of XL. The ninjas found an XL for me even when they weren't available on the website, and I couldn't be happier with it. Honestly, even at full price I felt like I was getting a deal. The fabric, the fit, and the detailing are all great. I get compliments on it almost every time I wear it. It's now a staple for me when it's too cold to sport just a sweater and too warm to really layer up. It's a wonderful coat for days in spring and autumn when it isn't pouring rain.

Ready for Winter 2014-15

6'2, 180 lbs, 36" arms and the L is great. Everything everyone else says, plus it fits exactly as shown on the model. Regarding the wool-nylon blend; this is probably for strength and to help it hold its shape, not a cost-cutting measure. My everyday coat is a brown ("Rustic") Barbour Bedale, but sometimes it just feels dowdy, mainly due to the fit. The peacoat is stylish and smart.
