When it comes to quality, it's all about the details. From shoulder to cuff, let's break down all the expertise and craftsmanship our team puts into every suit.
CONSTRUCTION
For extra versatility and a complete suit closet, we offer two types of chest construction — one for structure, and one for a lighter feel.
CANVAS CHEST PIECE
With this structured technique, you get shape right where the suit needs it the most — the chest.
UNCONSTRUCTED
By removing the chest piece, an unconstructed jacket allows for more movement and natural silhouette.
SHOULDERS
The shoulders are an important aspect of a suit, because they help with the overall shape. All of our suit jackets and blazers have soft shoulders for a more natural, contoured look. No shoulder pads here.
LINING
The interior of a jacket rarely gets the attention it deserves — a lot of thought goes into how much lining we add to each style. From formality to weight, these three options all have their benefits.
FULLY LINED
This more formal, traditional aesthetic adds body to lighter fabrics, makes the jacket more durable and long-lasting, and covers the intricate seams underneath.
PARTIALLY LINED
Lined at the front, side, arms, and shoulders — only the lower back isn’t. This makes it easier to put on, all while being more breathable.
UNCONSTRUCTED
A lot of work goes into making these look easy and natural. The process is more intensive than lined options, because every seam needs to look cleaned up. Note: sleeves and shoulders are lined for comfort.
COLLAR
A lot can be learned about a jacket with a quick look under the collar. Our two options are both expertly constructed, but come with their own charms.
FELT COLLAR
Felt material is moldable and stretches naturally around your neck. Typically a contrast color to add some character if you need to pop the collar.
SELF COLLAR
For a more cohesive look, self collars are made with matching fabric. This fabric is cut diagonally, A.K.A on a bias, to create a natural stretchiness.
STITCHING
Something as specific as how a suit is stitched can prove its bona fides, because it should look as good up close as it does from afar.
EDGE STITCH
An elegant stitch for more formal jackets. Sewing a seam away from the edge creates a clean-looking finish
PICK STITCH
A true sign of expert craftsmanship, this detail found on our more seasonal, fashion-forward styles keeps lapel edges looking fresh and prevents rolling.
QUARTER-INCH STITCH
Otherwise known as a “swelled edge,” this stitch produces a pronounced edge perfect for casual blazers.
BUTTONHOLES
From function to style, more thought goes into the buttons & button holes on your sleeves than you might expect.
FULLY NON-FUNCTIONAL
With this commonly found design, buttons are tacked on simply for style purposes, with no stitched button holes underneath.
FUNCTIONAL
Historically known as Surgeon’s Cuffs, these working button holes give you more versatility and indicate a higher level of craftsmanship.
NON-FUNCTIONAL
A more democratic option. With button holes that are stitched closed, the choice is yours if you want to open them up and make them functional.
INTERIOR POCKETS
Wallets, boarding passes, mints, and whatever else you’re stashing while on the go — it’s all safe and easily available in our well-crafted interior pockets.
SLANTED POCKET
We slightly angle our passport pockets to make them simpler to access. Our suits are called Jetsetters for a reason.
HALF-MOON STITCHING
This additional stitching reinforces the pocket so it’s less likely to rip over time. It’s the little things that make the biggest difference.
PANT DETAILS
As a pants company, we know how important they are to a complete suit. The inseam must be exact, the waist has to be comfortable but not loose, the details should be top-notch — so when it comes to your lower half, we strive to offer nothing but high quality.
WAISTBAND CURTAIN
Our signature curved waistband features bias-cut fabric with added lining to maintain a smooth shape and clean look.
TAILORABLE BACK SEAMS
Our waistbands have an extra seam allowance, so if you need to adjust sizing, tailor alterations are simple.
FRENCH FLY
To anchor the waist and help prevent pulling on the hook-and-bar closure, the interior fly features an extra hidden button.
INTERIOR LEG LINING
Soft and smooth lining helps prevent clinging and provide an easier on-and-off experience.
